Greenfields Special School, has recently been on site with several of their students, who have thoroughly enjoyed their work experience over the last X weeks. With support and guidance from members of staff, the students have been able to develop new skills ready for their next step to employment in the near future.

"I believe the opportunities provided, gives the next generation experience and knowledge. They get into good habits for when they move on into the real world as they transition into new jobs and skills. It’s good for people who don’t have these types of opportunities unlike others. It gives them confidence and support."

The Landfill Disposals Tax Communities Grant Scheme is a program that provides funding to communities in Wales to support projects that benefit the environment, local people, and wildlife. The scheme is funded by the Welsh Government's Landfill Disposals Tax, which is a tax on the disposal of waste in landfill sites.

The scheme provides grants of up to £50,000 for projects that aim to improve the local environment, reduce carbon emissions, or promote biodiversity. Projects may include initiatives such as community gardens, park improvements, wildlife conservation, and energy efficiency measures.
