ELITE Paper Solutions, a not-for-profit Social Enterprise based in Merthyr Tydfil, has successfully been granted WCVA Landfill Disposals Tax Communities Scheme Grant, to continue their mission on it’s environmental impact through products and services they offer.
With an initiative of helping the environment, ELITE Paper Solutions has dedicated its time to reuse cardboard to create a bespoke eco-friendly animal bedding. After cardboard is collected, it is then quality checked by their recycling operatives, and any unwanted materials are then removed for the cardboard to be shredded and packaged ready to ship to its customers.
Greenfields Special School, has recently been on site with several of their students, who have thoroughly enjoyed their work experience over the last X weeks. With support and guidance from members of staff, the students have been able to develop new skills ready for their next step to employment in the near future.

The Landfill Disposals Tax Communities Grant Scheme is a program that provides funding to communities in Wales to support projects that benefit the environment, local people, and wildlife. The scheme is funded by the Welsh Government's Landfill Disposals Tax, which is a tax on the disposal of waste in landfill sites.
The scheme provides grants of up to £50,000 for projects that aim to improve the local environment, reduce carbon emissions, or promote biodiversity. Projects may include initiatives such as community gardens, park improvements, wildlife conservation, and energy efficiency measures.
