On Friday 6th December 2019, ELITE Paper Solutions staff members Adam & Ian travelled to London for the annual SME National Awards held at Wembley Stadium. With over 200 organisation across the UK attending the event as finalists in over 20 different categories. EPS attended the event for their very first time as finalists for the ‘Community Business of the Year’.
Presenting the night was Layla Anna-Lee, best know for presenting Cage Warriors on BT Sports, Layla was fantastic throughout the night, introducing each category sponsor to announce a Silver & Gold award to the successful businesses.
Sponsoring the ‘Community Business of the Year’ award was David Clarke, Director of Services at Royal National Institute of Blind People. Collecting the Silver award for our category was Foundation Sports. FS have been delivering sport coaching sessions to children of all ages and abilities from a mixture of backgrounds since 1999.
Before announcing the winners, the judges made the following comments;
“Combining a highly responsible approach to community within a commendable business
model and growth”
David Clarke then went onto announcing the winner for the Gold award, and to our complete amazement, he called out ELITE PAPER SOLUTIONS!
Ian Thomas, Enterprise Manager for EPS, had the following to say:
“It’s truly amazing to have won this national award! To be recognised in this way is absolutely fantastic & we can’t wait to return the award back to Wales to celebrate with all the team!”
A huge congratulations to all the finalists in attendance, it was inspirational to see so many successful organisations in one room.
We’d like to thank Events and PR for delivering such a successful awards ceremony. The event from start to finish was superb, and we look forward to applying again in 2020.
