Back in September, we were proudly nominated for the ‘Social Business Wales Environmental Award 2018’ and attended the magnificent event held at the Cardiff City Hall.
The evening, delivered by Social Business Wales, brought together more than 220 of Wales’s leading figures from the social business sector, to celebrate the positive impact of social enterprises, co-operatives, and employee-owned businesses.
Derek Walker, chief executive of Wales Co-operative Centre, said he was “delighted with the calibre of the entrants this year”.
He added: “A lot of the categories were very competitive and judges had a challenge choosing the winners. The social impact made by these businesses is outstanding.”
Although we missed out on the environmental award, to worthy winners Reseiclo Community Wood Recycling, we are immensely proud of our team for progressing through to finalists.
